Founder and Head Teacher

Blessina has been learning and teaching piano for the past 20 years. She completed grade 8 in Piano from the Trinity College, London and has the distinction of being awarded the Late Miss. Amy De Rozario’s Silver Cup for securing the highest mark in Grade 8. This recognition played a crucial role in affirming her musical aptitude and commitment.

Despite her accomplishments, she believes that there is always room to grow and learn and so she is constantly looking for ways to challenge herself to become a better piano player and teacher.

Blessina’s passion to give students access to a well-rounded piano education, prompted her to start this studio. Her own journey has helped her see that the best thing she can do for her students is to give them every opportunity to fall in love with music and build a lifelong relationship with it.

Being a mother of a toddler, she has mastered the art of engaging him with creative activities. This has given her the motivation and confidence to do the same with bringing the piano alive for kids. She is committed to engaging with her students in a way that enhances each person’s unique interests and way of learning. It gives her immense satisfaction to see the joy in her student’s faces when they have acquired the necessary skill to play a song or have understood a concept.

Rebecca Thomas Colaco

Guest Faculty

A mom, A musician, An educator – Rebecca has been working at the ‘The Bangalore school of music’ from 1991. She currently is the Head of Faculty and the Head of the piano Department. She completed her ATCL in piano performance and AMusTCL from the Trinity College of Music, London. As a pianist, she has collaborated with Indian and international artistes in concert. Her passion is Music therapy – working with differently abled children, to help them achieve a greater quality of life through music. She is mom to a fiesty four year old and lives in Bangalore , India, with her daughter and husband.

Her greatest joy is to see people’s lives changed by the power to music , through studying, listening, collaboration and cooperation. May God be glorified in and through our efforts.

She is very pleased to be associated with August School of Music as a guest faculty and wishes that the motto “where music comes alive” would inspire and influence many in the years to come.

Aditya Ganesh

Piano Teacher

Aditya Ganesh is an independent musician, orchestrator, teacher and composer. He has been training in Indian Classical singing (Carnatic music) right from his childhood. He completed his engineering following which he studied Western composition at KM Music Conservatory in 2017.

He has had opportunities to work with musicians from the Berklee College of Music for his string quartet composition. He has collaborated multiple times with International orchestras such as Budapest Scoring, the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra etc. for music in films. He has also scored music for Short films and produced songs for independent artists, albums etc. He has secured a Licentiate degree(LMusTCL)
from Trinity College London and a Master’s in Carnatic music(M.Music) from the University of Madras. Aditya is very inquisitive about exploring various genres in music and has an ear for jazz, blues and other modern forms of music!

Deepika Theagarajan

Piano Teacher

Deepika Theagarajan is a multifaceted music professional with a deep passion for education, performance, and music therapy with a rich background in both Indian and Western classical music. She is a proficient Western classical pianist and vocalist. She has also been formally trained in Carnatic music for 16 years.

Deepika’s career spans roles as a music educator, performer, and therapist. Her teaching experience extends beyond institutional roles, as she has provided private vocal and piano lessons for students worldwide.

As a performer, Deepika has participated in over 1,000 shows and contributed to films, web series, and advertisements as a singer, songwriter, and vocal arranger.

Sudharshan Isaac Vedanayagam

Violin Teacher

Sudharshan Isaac Vedanayagam is a skilled and versatile musician with extensive experience in teaching, performing, and music production. He is proficient in multiple instruments, including the violin, viola, bass, piano, guitar, and vocals, and has expertise in both sight-reading and aural skills. Sudharshan has been a partner at the Cadenza School of Music in Nagercoil, India, since 2018, where he teaches violin
to students of all ages, both online and in person, preparing them for music exams and performances.

Sudharshan holds advanced certifications in violin and singing from the Trinity College, London, and the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM). He is also certified in music theory. Additionally, he completed an Advanced Diploma in Pastoral Major from Christ For The Nations (CFNI) in Dallas, Texas, reflecting his deep commitment to integrating his musical skills with his faith.

As a performer, Sudharshan has collaborated with renowned musicians from various genres and participated in symphonies. He has been a violinist and violist with prestigious groups such as the Madras Musical Association, the Madras String Ensemble, and the Genesis Chamber Orchestra since 2015. His musical achievements include directing music for The SPOT church in Fort Worth, Texas, and collaborating with the Westphalia Orchestral members from Germany. He has also produced
Christian music albums and singles in both English and Tamil on YouTube.

Deepak Ponmudi

Western Classical Guitar Teacher

Deepak Ponmudi is a distinguished classical guitarist from India with a profound passion for Western classical music. He began his musical journey in Chennai under the guidance of Mrs. Ahlauyu SV Naiud and later moved to Bangalore to study with Mr. Poireinganba Thangjam, where he completed his grades under the Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM). Deepak further honed his skills with
renowned mentors, including Mr. Mehdi Kosharvani from Vienna, Mr. John Paul from Indonesia, and Grand Maestro Lucio Matarazzo from Italy.

Deepak has achieved significant recognition in the classical guitar world, including winning first prize in the open category at the 2018 Calcutta International Classical Guitar Festival and Competition. He was also awarded a full scholarship to attend the prestigious Cordoba Guitar Festival in Spain, where he trained under legends like Leo Brouwer, Manuel Barrueco, David Russell, Margarita Escarpa, and Ricardo Gallen.
His debut performance took place at the Grand Melia Hotel in Madrid, Spain, featuring a repertoire spanning baroque to modern contemporary music.

As an active performer, Deepak represents notable brands as a brand ambassador for the Spanish guitar manufacturer Alhambra , Guitars and the online music education platform Tonebase. His teaching career spans over a decade, with positions at institutions like Roy’s Music Academy and 3Bs Western Music Academy in Chennai, Urban Raga in Bangalore, and the Bangalore School of Music, where he has been
teaching since 2017.

Deepak holds Grade 8 certifications in both Classical Guitar and Music Theory and is currently pursuing a Diploma in ABRSM. His international experience, technical expertise, and dedication to teaching and performing make him a celebrated figure in the world of classical guitar​.
